Terms of Use
Last Updated: March 12, 2026
1) Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the educational website and related content operated by FERI Beheer B.V. (“FERI Beheer B.V.”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the website. If you use the website on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
Minimum age: the website is intended for users aged 16 or older. If you are under 16, you may use the website only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
2) Educational Scope and Important Disclaimers
This website provides educational content only. The subject matter is studio video shooting and directing with an emphasis on interview and conversation-based formats (for example: talking-head, two-person interviews, and table discussions). The materials focus on practical set decisions such as camera placement, framing, multi-camera coverage logic, basic studio lighting, blocking for seated talent, run-of-show planning, shot lists, and on-set communication.
We do not provide video production services, studio hire, equipment rental, casting or talent booking, or any form of client acquisition or career placement. We do not guarantee professional outcomes, paid work, employment, revenue, or any other result. Any examples, scenarios, checklists, or templates are illustrative and reflect common studio constraints; your outcomes depend on your crew, space, equipment, and implementation.
The website may describe workflows that involve safety considerations (for example: stands, cabling, lighting power, heat, and safe movement around pedestals or tripods). You are responsible for following appropriate safety practices and applicable regulations. Do not treat website content as a substitute for on-site supervision, training, or professional safety advice.
3) Changes to the Website and These Terms
We may update the website, course descriptions, or other content at any time. We may also update these Terms. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Material changes will generally take effect 14 days after posting, unless a change is required sooner for legal or security reasons.
Continued use of the website after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
4) Acceptable Use
You agree to use the website in a lawful, respectful, and technically reasonable manner. In particular, you agree not to:
- Attempt to access, probe, or test the vulnerability of the website or any related systems.
- Bypass, disable, or interfere with security-related features, rate limits, or access controls.
- Use automated means to scrape, crawl, or harvest content or data (including emails) without our prior written permission.
- Submit false, misleading, or impersonated contact information in any form.
- Upload or transmit malware, spyware, or other harmful code.
- Use the website to send unsolicited messages, spam, or promotional content unrelated to studio interview education.
- Interfere with the normal operation of the website or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe there has been a violation of these Terms or a security risk.
5) Intellectual Property
The website and its content (including text, lesson structures, checklists, templates, diagrams described in text, and the overall arrangement and presentation) are owned by or licensed to FERI Beheer B.V. and are protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the website for your personal learning purposes. This licence does not allow you to:
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute substantial portions of the content for commercial purposes.
- Republish content as your own course, curriculum, or documentation without permission.
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices.
- Create derivative works based on the materials beyond reasonable personal study notes.
Requests for permission can be sent to [email protected].
6) Third-Party Services and Links
The website may reference third-party products, standards, or services commonly used in studio environments (for example: cameras, lenses, lighting fixtures, audio tools, or editing systems). Any references are for educational context only. We do not control third-party websites or services and are not responsible for their content, policies, or availability.
If we link to a third-party site (if and when such links exist), you access it at your own risk and subject to the third party’s terms.
7) Disclaimers of Warranties
The website and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any content in all contexts. Studio outcomes are sensitive to constraints such as room size, sight lines, table geometry, light control, and the discipline of continuity; any workflow description may require adaptation.
8) Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FERI Beheer B.V. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the website.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the website will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €100.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (for example, liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence where such limitation is not permitted).
9) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FERI Beheer B.V. from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the website, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
10) Force Majeure
We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance to the extent caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labour disputes, pandemics, power failures, internet outages, cyberattacks, and failures of hosting, cloud, or telecommunications providers.
11) International Use
We operate from the Netherlands. We make no representation that the website is appropriate or legally available in all jurisdictions. You are responsible for compliance with local laws where you access the website.
12) Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. To the extent permitted by applicable law, disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the website will be submitted to the competent courts in the Netherlands.
If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, you may also have rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit such rights where they apply.
13) Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the website at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, are creating security risk, or are using the website in a way that could harm the website or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law.
14) Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
15) Entire Agreement
These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and FERI Beheer B.V. regarding your use of the website and supersede any prior or contemporaneous understandings on that subject.
16) Assignment
We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, or by operation of law. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
17) No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by us to be effective.
18) Electronic Communications
You agree that communications and agreements between you and FERI Beheer B.V. may be provided electronically. Where applicable, electronic communications satisfy legal requirements for written form under relevant electronic transaction laws.
