Cookie Policy

Last Updated: March 12, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how FERI Beheer B.V. (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on brelano.click (the “Website”). It also explains the choices you have. This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly.

We keep the Website educational and straightforward. Cookies help basic site functions, help us understand how lessons and pages are used, and (if you choose) help measure advertising performance when we run campaigns. You can manage your preferences at any time via “Manage cookie preferences” in the footer.

1) What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They can store identifiers and preferences so a website can remember choices (for example, your cookie consent selection) or maintain session continuity.

We also refer to “similar technologies” that support measurement and functionality. These include pixel tags (small image requests that transmit limited information such as page views) and server-side event logging. In practice, these tools work together: a pixel may set or read a cookie, and a server may receive a corresponding request that records a conversion event (for example, a successful form submission redirect).

2) Cookie lifespans and origins

Cookies can be:

  • Session cookies — they are erased when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies — they remain on your device for a set period, or until you delete them.

Cookies can also be:

  • First-party cookies — set by this Website (brelano.click).
  • Third-party cookies — set by a domain other than the Website you are visiting, typically by analytics or advertising providers.

3) Cookie categories we use

We group cookies into three categories. These categories match the choices in our cookie banner and cookie preferences panel:

Essential cookies (always active)

Essential cookies are required for the Website to function and for you to use core features reliably. These cookies do not require consent under the EU ePrivacy rules because they are strictly necessary for delivering the service you request.

  • Remembering your cookie consent choice, so we do not repeatedly ask.
  • Keeping basic session continuity and security controls working.

Analytics cookies (optional)

Analytics cookies help us understand how the Website is used: which pages are read, how visitors move between course outlines, and whether navigation labels are clear. This allows us to improve lesson structure and reduce dead-ends. Analytics cookies are only activated if you choose to allow them.

When enabled, analytics typically use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymization. Analytics retention is configured for 14 months, and the cookies themselves are typically persistent.

Marketing cookies (optional)

Marketing cookies are used to measure advertising performance and to build audiences for relevant outreach. For example, they can help us understand whether an ad about multi-camera coverage led to visits to the Courses page, or whether a contact form submission happened after an ad click. Marketing cookies are only activated if you choose to allow them.

When enabled, marketing may use tools such as Google Ads conversion measurement and the Meta Pixel. These tools may set or read identifiers and may support remarketing and conversion attribution.

4) Cookie table

The table below lists the cookies commonly associated with the categories above. Some third-party cookies only appear if you have consented to the relevant category and if we have enabled those integrations. Cookie names may vary by provider configuration.

Name Purpose Category Type Retention
_site_session Site session continuity Essential First-party Session
cookie_consent Stores your consent choice Essential First-party 12 months
_ga GA4 user identifier Analytics Third-party 2 years
_ga_XXXXXXXXXX GA4 session state (10-char GA4 ID) Analytics Third-party 2 years
_gcl_au Google Ads conversion linker Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbp Meta Pixel browser identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbc Meta Pixel click identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days

5) Third-party providers

When you consent to Analytics or Marketing cookies, data may be processed by third-party providers acting as our service providers or partners. These providers may receive information such as cookie identifiers, device and browser details, page views, and conversion events.

We do not permit these providers to use Website data for their own independent commercial purposes. Providers may process data in their role as service providers and may maintain their own compliance and security logs.

6) How to manage your cookie preferences

You can control cookies in three main ways:

  • Website controls: use the “Manage cookie preferences” link in the footer to open the cookie banner and set Analytics and Marketing choices.
  • Browser settings: most browsers allow you to delete cookies, block third-party cookies, or block all cookies. If you block essential cookies, parts of the Website may not work correctly.
  • Provider controls: you can use provider opt-out tools where available.

Common provider controls include:

If you withdraw consent for Analytics or Marketing cookies, the change applies going forward. It does not retroactively change processing that occurred while consent was active.

7) Updates to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the Website, legal requirements in the Netherlands and the EU, or changes in the tools we use. If we make material changes, we will post an updated version on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

8) Contact
